Now Foods Thermo Green Tea™Promoted as a health product to scavenge free radicals and support thermogenesis, Now Foods Thermo Green Tea is our next product up for review. This product contains a 700 mg serving which is a higher dosage than the other Now Foods Green Tea Extract which contains only 400 mg but is otherwise not a very different product. Rather than giving percentages and leaving you to do the math, Now Foods gives the significant numbers in mg. For example, Thermo Green Tea is not decaffeinated and contains up to 7 mg of caffeine. Additionally, it contains 350mg EGCG which would equal the desired 50%. However, there is no bioavailability enhancer in this formula to increase nutrient absorption and results. Now Foods uses only pure ingredients that have been tested for purity. The manufacturing facility is FDA recognized and complies with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). True Veda Organic Green Tea ExtractThis product states that it is for helping support your immune system and promoting natural metabolism. It contains only 1 active ingredient, as can be expected. Any Green Tea Extract product should only contain Green Tea without any additives or preservatives. True Veda Organic Green Tea Extract is standardized to a 2:1 Herb to extract ratio. The complete concoction contains only 50% polyphenols. Additionally, it doesn’t seem to be decaffeinated as it contains “less than 10% caffeine” which could be quite a lot. This product is manufactured in a GMP compliant facility and third-party tested. This product is on the cheaper side in terms of price but the lower dosage and standardization justify the price. Unfortunately, True Vida does not offer any satisfaction guarantee and refunds are only available for unused products that are still in the original packaging. This lack of a guarantee or helpful refund policy can be understood as a reflection on the company’s faith in their product. If they truly believed in its effectiveness, they would stand behind their product with a money-back guarantee. Despite its testing and lack of unnecessary ingredients, there were a few matters that knocked this product down into third place. This product might not be as strong as you need it to be and we noticed a few inconsistencies. With only 50% polyphenols, how much EGCG is actually in each of these capsules?
